Wave Jug IV

A round-bodied terracotta jug with multiple wave lines etched across the shoulder and upper body - the decoration more expansive here, covering more of the surface in a pattern that reads as both ancient and immediate. Suited as a vase for dried botanicals or displayed as a sculptural statement piece of Cretan earthenware. Handmade in Crete using traditional methods.

This piece is unglazed earthenware - unsealed inside and intended for dried flowers, stems, or decorative use rather than water. As with all handmade ceramics, slight variations in form, texture, and surface are an inherent part of the process - no two pieces leave the kiln the same, and these marks of the maker's hand are what make each piece its own.
