Please note we are currently shipping to UK addresses only.

We take as much care with packing as the makers took with the firing. Every piece is individually wrapped in tissue and padding and double-boxed before it leaves us.

Orders are dispatched within 3 to 5 working days of purchase. Standard UK delivery is via Royal Mail Tracked 48. For orders over £75, we use Royal Mail Special Delivery, which is fully tracked, insured, and next-day once dispatched.

We offer free standard shipping on all UK orders over £100.

Returns and Refunds

We want you to love what you bring home. Given the fragile nature of our pieces and the fact that each one is one of a kind, we ask that you buy with care and consideration.

We accept returns and exchanges for full-price items purchased online, subject to these conditions:

  • The item is returned within 14 days of delivery.
  • The item is in its original condition and is repacked in its original packaging, well protected for transit.


We do not accept responsibility for damage incurred during return shipping. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility, and we cannot be held liable for parcels lost or damaged in return transit.

All returns must be authorised by us before sending - please contact us first. All purchases made during a sale or promotional period are final and non-refundable.

Because every piece in our collection is one of a kind, exchanges are subject to what is available at the time of your request. We cannot guarantee a like-for-like replacement.

When your order arrives, please check it carefully before unpacking fully. Our pieces are individually wrapped and double-boxed for protection, but ceramics are fragile and transit damage, though rare, can occur. If anything looks wrong before you open the packaging, photograph it before proceeding.

To request a return or exchange, please email us at contact@afternoonedit.co.uk with:

  • your proof of purchase or order number,
  • your date of purchase,
  • your reason for returning, and
  • any supporting images if relevant.


Once your return is received and inspected, a full refund will be issued to your original payment method, minus original and return shipping costs. Please allow 3 to 10 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery. To process a damaged goods claim we will need:

  • your proof of purchase or order number,
  • your date of purchase,
  • details of which items were damaged, and
  • photographs of both the damaged item and the outer packaging.
