A spherical terracotta jug with both a central neck and a side-facing spout - a form directly descended from the ancient oinochoe, the Greek jug designed for pouring wine at the table. The wave incision at the shoulder adds a second layer of detail to an already distinctive silhouette. Place it as a sculptural accent or use as a vase with a dried stem. Made by artisan ceramicists in Crete from fired clay in the traditional manner.

This piece is unglazed earthenware - unsealed inside and intended for dried botanicals, or decorative use rather than water. As with all handmade ceramics, slight variations in form, texture, and surface are an inherent part of the process - no two pieces leave the kiln the same, and these marks of the maker's hand are what make each piece its own.
