Wave Jug II
A full-bodied terracotta jug with three bands of hand-incised wave lines running across its widest point - an ancient motif, rendered here with generous coverage and a free hand. Ideal as a vase for dried flowers or tall stems; or as a sculptural object on any surface. Handmade in Crete from natural terracotta using traditional Greek pottery methods.
This piece is unglazed earthenware - unsealed inside and intended for dried botanicals or decorative use rather than water. As with all handmade ceramics, slight variations in form, texture, and surface are an inherent part of the process - no two pieces leave the kiln the same, and these marks of the maker's hand are what make each piece its own.

We take as much care with packing as the makers took with the firing. Every piece is individually wrapped, padded and boxed before it leaves us.
