Wave Jug I

A natural terracotta jug with a sinuous wave line incised around its shoulder - an ancient decorative motif, drawn freehand, that carries the quiet rhythm of the Aegean. Beautifully suited as a vase for dried flowers or stems, or simply placed on a shelf as a sculptural accent piece in its own right. Handmade in Crete using traditional earthenware methods unchanged for centuries.

This piece is unglazed earthenware - unsealed inside and intended for dried botanicals, or decorative use rather than water. As with all handmade ceramics, slight variations in form, texture, and surface are an inherent part of the process - no two pieces leave the kiln the same, and these marks of the maker's hand are what make each piece its own.
