Wave Amphora I
A substantial terracotta amphora with two large loop handles and a wide, hand-drawn decorative wave band running around the shoulder - the lines drawn freely in a continuous Aegean rhythm. Style with dried flowers or place as a sculptural statement piece on any surface. Handmade in Crete using traditional methods.
This piece is unglazed earthenware - unsealed inside and intended for dried flowers, stems, or decorative use rather than water. As with all handmade ceramics, slight variations in form, texture, and surface are an inherent part of the process - no two pieces leave the kiln the same, and these marks of the maker's hand are what make each piece its own.
