Scroll-Handle Amphora II
A pale, drop-shaped terracotta amphora with two compact spiral handles - triple-wound and set close to the neck, the coils dense and precise. Its finish is a subtly textured, warm sandy cream from the colour wash over the earthenware. For dried botanicals or as a sculptural accent piece. Handmade in Crete; the spiral handles are formed and applied by hand.
This piece is unglazed earthenware - unsealed inside and intended for dried flowers, stems, or decorative use rather than water. As with all handmade ceramics, slight variations in form, texture, and surface are an inherent part of the process - no two pieces leave the kiln the same, and these marks of the maker's hand are what make each piece its own.
