Round Jug II
A classic round-bodied terracotta jug with a single handle and a clean ring at the shoulder - the essential form of a Greek water jug, pared back to what it needs to be and nothing more. For dried stems, a mantelpiece, or wherever a beautiful piece of natural earthenware feels right. Handmade in Crete using traditional pottery methods.
This piece is unglazed earthenware - unsealed inside and intended for dried botanicals, or decorative use rather than water. As with all handmade ceramics, slight variations in form, texture, and surface are an inherent part of the process - no two pieces leave the kiln the same, and these marks of the maker's hand are what make each piece its own.

We take as much care with packing as the makers took with the firing. Every piece is individually wrapped, padded and boxed before it leaves us.
