Chalk Bowl II
A large, deep glazed bowl in chalk white - the interior slightly blue-toned from the glaze pooling, the form generous and round, the wheel-turned rings inside catching the light in concentric circles. For salad, fruit, or as a statement piece to display on any table or sideboard. Handmade by Aegean artisans in Crete from the island's characteristic white glaze tradition.
As with all handmade ceramics, slight variations in form, glaze colour, and surface finish are an inherent part of the process - no two pieces leave the kiln the same, and these marks of the maker's hand are what make each piece its own.
